2989 boxes (59,780 pieces) of cigarettes of various brands without excise labels were detained by customs officers from DG MRR, Department of MRR Dunavska, Operational Control Sector – Svishtov unit, during an inspection in a private home in Lukovit. The inspection was carried out on 16.07.2020. Tobacco products of six different brands (Raquel slims, Marlboro gold, Cooper slims, President slims, Karelia blue, B&B) were found, which were not affixed with excise labels. The cigarettes were found in an uninhabited house – in a room on the first floor and in an outbuilding. A fast-track procedure was initiated in the case according to the inventory of the territorial department “Customs Intelligence and Investigation Dunavska” under the supervision of the Lukovit District Prosecutor’s Office. The cigarettes were detained.
