Lachezar Krastev, Pavel Gerenski and Rumen Danev have been appointed Deputy Directors of the Customs Agency

The Minister of Finance Assen Vassilev appointed with his orders three new deputy directors of the Customs Agency. These are Lachezar Krastev, Pavel Gerenski and Rumen Danev. All three have many years of experience in the customs system.

Lachezar Krastev is assigned the department of customs activity and methodology and customs laboratories. Lachezar Krastev was born on May 4, 1969. Almost all his professional experience is in the customs administration, where he worked without interruption from 1991 to 2014, holding various positions in the specialized administration and management positions as head of department, head of customs offices Obelya and Sofia – East and Deputy Director of the Customs Agency. After leaving the customs administration he worked in the field of forwarding and logistics. He has a university degree in economics, acquired at the Academy of Economics “D. A. Tsenov “- Svishtov, postgraduate qualification in International Economic Relations and Customs Policy at the University of National and World Economy and specialization in economics in Germany. He speaks German and English.

Pavel Gerenski will manage the department of excise activities and methodology and information systems. He was born on July 13, 1968. He has over 20 years of experience in the Customs Agency in various positions, including head of department and deputy head of customs. He managed Kulata Customs and Plovdiv Customs. Engineer in electronics and automation, has a postgraduate qualification in International Economic Relations and Customs Policy at UNWE. He speaks English and Russian.

Rumen Danev has been appointed in charge of customs intelligence and investigation and legal activity. Rumen Danev was born on October 29, 1958. He worked in the Kostinbrod District Court and as a legal consultant. He started working in the Customs Agency in 1995 as an expert. From 2000 to 2009 he was director of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate. After leaving the customs administration he held various legal positions. Master of Law – graduated from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “.

The current two deputy directors of the Customs Agency, Borislav Borisov and Georgi Alexandrov, have been relieved of their posts.
