A large quantity of contraband goods was detained by customs officials from the Sofia Customs Office

A large quantity of contraband goods was detained by customs officers from the “Customs Intelligence and Investigation” department at the Sofia Customs Department during an inspection of a shipment from China.
The Dragoman Customs Office receives a customs declaration for the import of various goods from China, intended for a recipient – a Bulgarian company. The trade and customs documents describe various items such as toys, imitation jewelry, clothing, textiles, and more. According to the risk analysis method, the cargo was selected for a thorough customs inspection, during which customs officers found 3,000 smart watches and 12,000 shoe insoles undeclared.
The contraband goods have been detained, the work on the case continues. An act to establish an administrative violation under the Customs Act is about to be drawn up.
