The customs officers of DG “Customs Intelligence and Investigation” detained 20,700 kg of denatured ethyl alcohol without documents according to ZADS, transported in a truck leaving Bulgaria through the Silistra border checkpoint.
On April 21, 2020, the customs officers stopped for inspection in the area of the Silistra border checkpoint a truck with Plovdiv registration, traveling to Romania. 21 plastic one-color cubes filled with a colorless liquid with the smell of alcohol were found in the cargo hold. Samples were taken for laboratory analysis, according to which the goods are denatured ethyl alcohol, transported without the necessary documents according to ZADS. The detained quantity of 20,700 kg is stored in a warehouse of TD Dunavska. Administrative criminal proceedings have been instituted in the case.
