Undeclared kitchen utensils were detained by the customs officers from the General Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation during an inspection in the area of the Kapitan Petko Voyvoda border checkpoint. The goods were found on July 18, 2020 in a Mercedes Sprinter cargo van entering the country from Greece. The driver, a Bulgarian citizen, presented regular documents for the transport of groupage goods, packed in 78 packages, from Turkey to the Netherlands. Undeclared 312 kitchen utensils, including plastic boxes and trays with the Tupperware brand, as well as a chopper, silicone spatulas, bread boards and kitchen knives were found during the thorough customs clearance. The goods have been seized. Administrative penal proceedings have been instituted in the case.
