More than 2,600,000 cigarettes were destroyed under the control of the Southern Maritime Territorial Directorate
Cigarettes, smoked tobacco, cigars and cigarillos were destroyed by slicing under the control of the Southern Maritime Territorial Directorate.
On January 28, 2021, a procedure was carried out for the destruction of 2,665,920 cigarettes, 608 kg of hookah tobacco and cut smoked tobacco, as well as 1,324 cigars and cigarillos. Tobacco products without Bulgarian excise labels of various brands were found during thorough customs inspections at Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint in 2019 and 2020. The hour of excise goods is stored in passing passengers, which are applied above the norm for duty-free entry of two boxes. Another was seized during an inspection upon entering the country from Turkey, where they were most often hidden in factory cavities.
