Customs officers seized nearly 2,000 smuggled perfumes from the Lesovo Police Department

Customs officers from the Territorial Directorate of Burgas Customs seized undeclared 1950 perfumes with the designation of world brands. The smuggled perfumes were found during an inspection of a truck at the Lesovo Customs Checkpoint.

On 04.04.2022 the vehicle with foreign registration arrived at the Lesovo MP on an entrance path from Turkey. According to documents, the truck was transporting 25 laminate flooring parcels from Turkey to Romania. In the customs control zone, the driver, a Romanian citizen with the initials N.F., declared that he was not transporting goods other than those declared in the submitted documents.

During the inspection, including with specialized X-ray equipment, the customs officers were installed in the area with suspicious density between the goods. In the course of the control actions, undeclared cartons containing a total of 1950 packages of perfumes in bottles of 70, 90 and 100 ml with designations of world brands, including Chanel, Dior, Armani, Lancome, Givenchy, Hermes, etc. can be found in the cargo. .

According to the experienced expertise, the total value of the smuggled perfumes is BGN 51,939.

Pre-trial proceedings for large-scale smuggling of goods have been instituted in the case, which is being conducted by the next customs inspector of the Burgas Customs TD, under the supervision of the Yambol District Prosecutor’s Office.
